About the event
Join us for a few drinks and banter at one of Richmond's oldest pubs. It dates back to 1705 when it was known as The Duke of Ormande's Head, named after James Butler, the 2nd Duke of Ormonde. Since then it has had several name changes, finally becoming The Prince's Head in 1778, possibly in honour of The Prince of Wales. It served in the 18th century as a coaching inn, and was often frequented by Charles Dickens who featured the pub in "Little Dorrit" and "Barnaby Rudge", two of his many well known novels.
In recent years, The Prince's Head has gained renewed fame as a filming location for the popular Apple TV series "Ted Lasso" where it serves as the fictional Crown & Anchor pub. The pub's exterior is prominently featured in the series, while the interior scenes are primarily filmed on a set. We hope that you will…
